UCanPlay are excited to run our Easter Girls Football Development Camp, designed to give players extra time on the ball in a fun, positive and challenging environment. Across the sessions players will take part in small-sided games, technical practices and confidence-building activities designed to help them develop their skills and express themselves on the pitch. The camp is open to girls of all abilities who simply enjoy playing football and want to improve. With the upcoming England Talent ID sessions taking place on the Island, this camp also offers a great opportunity for players to get additional preparation, sharpen their skills and build confidence ahead of the event. However, players do not need to be attending the Talent ID sessions to take part – the camp is open to anyone who wants to develop their game and enjoy football. The sessions will be run by qualified coaches, the same coaches who will also be delivering practices across both the development camps and the upcoming Talent ID days, giving players a great opportunity to experience the coaching environment and expectations. Sessions will take place at The Isle of Wight Community club and we’re looking forward to welcoming players from across the Island for a brilliant couple of days of football.
Camp notes
Following last year’s successful first Christmas camp, we’re proud to continue our support for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust by hosting another afternoon of festive football fun!
This camp is designed for players of all abilities and will include:
• Small-sided game tournament
• Fun football challenges
• Festive prizes up for grabs
• A brilliant, friendly environment to play the game the UCanPlay way
Whether you’re a UCanPlay regular, absolutely love football, or simply want to give it a try, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved.
It’s also the perfect chance to drop the girls off for a few hours while you get the last bits of Christmas shopping done!
We’d love to see as many of you there as possible as we support such an important local charity.
